Postpartum Care

Personalized in-home support to help you heal, bond, and find your rhythm.

The postpartum period is a time of healing, adjustment, and learning. Whether you're welcoming your first baby or growing your family, I provide compassionate, nonjudgmental support tailored to your unique needs. Postpartum support may include: Newborn Care Guidance — diapering, bathing, soothing, and swaddling; understanding newborn cues and behavior; creating routines that work for your family. Infant Feeding Support — breastfeeding support, bottle-feeding guidance, pumping education, and referrals to lactation specialists when needed. Emotional Support — a listening ear during the transition to parenthood, processing your birth experience, encouragement and confidence-building, and support for partners and family members. Light Household Assistance — meal preparation and nourishing snacks, light tidying of baby-related spaces, laundry assistance, and helping create a calm, functional environment. Postpartum Recovery Support — education on physical healing after birth, belly binding support (if added on), rest and recovery planning, and holistic comfort measures. Family Adjustment — supporting siblings as they welcome a new baby, helping partners find their role and confidence, and creating sustainable family rhythms. Education & Resources — evidence-based information, community referrals, and guidance through common newborn and recovery challenges. My goal is to nurture the entire family — helping you feel supported, informed, and confident as you navigate the early weeks of parenthood.

Frequently asked questions

  • When will you be available to me during labor?

I'm on call for you starting at 36 weeks of pregnancy. Once you're in active labor, I'll join you — at home or at the hospital — and stay with you through the delivery.

  • Do you support all types of birth plans?

Absolutely. I support all birth choices — unmedicated, medicated, planned C-sections, and everything in between. My role is to support your vision, not direct it.

  • How many prenatal visits are included?

Birth doula support includes 2–3 prenatal visits so we can build a relationship, develop your birth plan together, and make sure you feel fully prepared going into labor.

  • What if my birth plan changes during labor?

Birth rarely goes exactly as planned — and that's okay. I'm here to help you navigate any changes with calm and confidence, so you still feel supported no matter how your birth unfolds.
