Belly Binding

Traditional bengkung-style wrapping to support your body's healing after birth.

Belly binding is a traditional postpartum practice used across many cultures to support recovery after birth. This gentle technique involves light lymphatic massage followed by wrapping the abdomen with a long cloth to provide support, comfort, and a sense of stability during healing. Using traditional bengkung-style binding, I help you feel supported as you navigate the physical and emotional transition into postpartum. Benefits may include: • Gentle abdominal and lower-back support • Encouragement of proper posture during feeding and newborn care • A feeling of stability and comfort during recovery • Support for weakened core muscles after pregnancy • Increased body awareness and connection • A dedicated opportunity to slow down, rest, and honor your healing Available as stand-alone sessions, a postpartum package add-on, or multi-session recovery packages for ongoing support. Belly binding isn't about 'bouncing back' — it's nurturing support as your body heals and adjusts after birth, so you can focus on rest, recovery, and bonding with baby.

Frequently asked questions

  • When will you be available to me during labor?

I'm on call for you starting at 36 weeks of pregnancy. Once you're in active labor, I'll join you — at home or at the hospital — and stay with you through the delivery.

  • Do you support all types of birth plans?

Absolutely. I support all birth choices — unmedicated, medicated, planned C-sections, and everything in between. My role is to support your vision, not direct it.

  • How many prenatal visits are included?

Birth doula support includes 2–3 prenatal visits so we can build a relationship, develop your birth plan together, and make sure you feel fully prepared going into labor.

  • What if my birth plan changes during labor?

Birth rarely goes exactly as planned — and that's okay. I'm here to help you navigate any changes with calm and confidence, so you still feel supported no matter how your birth unfolds.
