Closing of the Bones
A sacred postpartum ceremony to honor your journey and nurture your healing.

Closing of the Bones is a traditional postpartum ritual practiced in many cultures to honor your transformation and provide intentional space for rest, reflection, and healing. This nurturing ceremony is designed to help you feel held, supported, and cared for as you move from pregnancy and birth into motherhood. The ceremony may include: • Guided reflection on your pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journey • Gentle body wrapping using rebozos or shawls • Warmth and comfort through blankets, herbal teas, and a calming environment • Relaxation techniques and grounding practices • Time for rest, integration, and emotional processing • A personalized experience tailored to your traditions, beliefs, and needs Clients share that it brings a sense of closure, dedicated time to honor their experience, emotional and spiritual support through a major transition, deep relaxation, and a chance to reconnect with themselves outside of caregiving. This ceremony can be offered during the postpartum period, after a miscarriage or pregnancy loss, following adoption or surrogacy, or any time you desire a ritual of healing and reflection. It's not about fixing or changing anything — it's about creating space to be witnessed, honored, and supported.

Frequently asked questions
When will you be available to me during labor?
I'm on call for you starting at 36 weeks of pregnancy. Once you're in active labor, I'll join you — at home or at the hospital — and stay with you through the delivery.
Do you support all types of birth plans?
Absolutely. I support all birth choices — unmedicated, medicated, planned C-sections, and everything in between. My role is to support your vision, not direct it.
How many prenatal visits are included?
Birth doula support includes 2–3 prenatal visits so we can build a relationship, develop your birth plan together, and make sure you feel fully prepared going into labor.
What if my birth plan changes during labor?
Birth rarely goes exactly as planned — and that's okay. I'm here to help you navigate any changes with calm and confidence, so you still feel supported no matter how your birth unfolds.
